St Dunstan’s 2012
A Mission Action Plan for our Church Community agreed in Autumn 2006 and to implemented over the coming years. We hope it gives a flavour of our life and ministry currently.
Refreshing our worship Undertaking a liturgical review Programme of training for all who share in liturgy New Liturgical opportunities for Children/ Young people Developing liturgy in the week Explore ideas of pilgrimage e.g. Walsingham / St Albans
Renewing our resources Outlining a rolling/ resourced and realistic stewardship plan until 2012 Maintaining our buildings in line with quinquennial report recommendations with a timed and budgeted action plan. Maximising existing income opportunities and continue to develop profiled budgeting and monitoring. Develop the new Parish Room facilities and raise the related funding Aim to pay 100% of Parish Standard Costs
Regenerating our belief Implement a regular series of nurture groups each term Start a nurture group in the Autumn Develop lay pastoral care and ministry Have a series of teaching days through 2006/7 Participate fully in diocese and area training. Having an integrated children and youth programme
Remembering our past Produce good quality brief guides in English and Bengali To explore new ways of being able to allow access to the Church for concerts and events
Relating our faith Explore the idea of a Parish Mission in 2008 Continue involvement and relationships with other faith communities Integrate more fully into parish life our connections with schools and the Arbour Youth Centre Plan how we contact those who will be new and moving into the area
